“Chasing the Word of the Lord for 2019”
Partners,
Greetings partners, Fall is officially here. I personally love this time of the year, the air tempter changing, the leaves, and the holidays on our heels. Even here in Florida it’s nice to wake up to 70 degree tempters in the morning, and it never rising above 89 degrees. We have been talking about renewing our spirit man, 2 Cor. 3:14. The word renew means to grow or mature. Our spirit man is where the fellowship of the Holy Spirit takes place. We must keep our spirit man strong in it’s fellowship with the Holy Spirit if we expect to be able to fight off spiritual attacks against our soul. I’m going to run a thought by you this month where I believe a wonderful truth lies. As Christians we have been taught the power of forgiveness, how detrimental carrying unforgiveness is to our walk with others as well as with the Lord. But most Christians have never considered the need for healing after the initial damaged done by word or actions. Until healing can run it’s course in our souls, there will be something for the enemy to feed on. I’m not saying that what has opened the door is unforgiveness, I’m saying that the hurt that still remains has. I recently experience a situation that opened my eyes. A conversation came up between two people, similar to a conversation that took place between them a year ago. The initial conversation produced hurt that was never healed, forgiven but never healed. The later conversation produced feelings and thoughts from the previous discussion, because this person forgave in that moment, but was never healed from that moment. I feel the Body of Christ is full of people that fit this description. I also feel that this is the reason why people can never really reconcile. What keeps people trapped by an experience that in most situations ends in division. Division and fragmentations is where the enemy feeds. Healing for the brokenhearted is where we receive release. Remember that Jesus wrote the patent on victory. It’s in these unresolved areas of hurt in our souls, that sickness can enter the picture. Not just physical sickness, but also mental sickness. Depression, oppression, anxiety are all the fruits and results of hurt without healing of our souls. I have been paying attention to my thoughts, my feelings and the motivation of my actions. How I think or feel when conversations are happening around me. When I find myself in a situation beyond my control. Does something bother me even if it has nothing to do with me? Do I want to express myself to either share what I think or how I want things to go. What is the real motivation driving my heart? Insecurity's and inferiority's causing people to find their way into identities that is not who they really are? Most of us do these things because of acceptance. Please hear me, when we let someone else define us, we’ve lost our own motivation to define ourselves. When people live in the influence of unresolved hurt, they normally end up resentful, angry, fearful and vary short sighted. Charles Surgeons commentary of Ez. 36:26-29, says; “God puts His Spirit so deeply in a man, his whole nature feels it”. Where His Spirit dwells, men do not go back into ruins.” There are so many ministers as well as laity in church today dealing with hurt that is not healed. Ministers that I know who cant even get out of bed. I shared this truth with a church last night and so many still carrying hurt from the past came for freedom. We must learn to strengthen and grow our spirit man to keep our soul under the right influence. My schedule is posted on the website, All of my books and ministry resources are there to.
