Chasing the Word of the Lord for 2021 (May Newsletter)

Dear Partners, Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray that this month’s letter finds you blessed by the grace of our Savior. I have shared with you that the Hebraic numbers 2021 refer to or mean, ”To hear the voice of God.” In a time where the Lord has desired His voice to be heard, there will be many strange voices trying to get our attention. There has been a spirit of discouragement on the Body of Christ everywhere I have traveled this last year. When things do not turn out the way we desire them to, discouragement can try and set in. Please remember where our trust must remain, in the Lord. There are five principles that I will be sharing over the next couple of months that I hope will inspire you and help keep us all focused. Our foundational scripture is found in John 10:1-5. Jesus said in verse one; “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way is a thief and a robber.” Verse two says, “But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.” Jesus is addressing an attitude of heart that is revealed in John 9:41, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, “We see’ Therefore your sin remains. The fruit of the Messiah is standing right Infront of them and they are making a choice to disregard the evidence. The problem lied in a simple truth, the miracle took place on the sabbath. Just beyond their ability to accept the prophetic word, that the blind would see. Seasons in our lives are not much different, many times the manifestation of a new season of the Kingdom calls us to accept greater fruit, or reject it and be defined by a time that we choose to stop growing. In verse three, Jesus said, To him, the doorkeeper opens and the sheep ``Hear” His voice. I want to point out a powerful truth that can take place at any point in our lives in Christ. In Luke 15:25-26, Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. “So he called one of the servants and asked what these things mean.” My thought is, could you imagine being someone who has never left his father’s house and had access to all that his father’s house has always had to offer. And somewhere along the way, we’ve lost an ear to hear the sound of our father’s house. Things like this only take place when we take for granted the goodness of the Lord. We might want to revisit appreciation for all that the Lord has done and all that we are still destined to walk in. We have to be very careful that we do not lose our rhythm with the Holy Spirit. Believers have the right to come before the Lord and spend time in His presence until our soul has been influenced correctly. When man and God are right, the cadence to life is full of hope. The first principle that I desire to share with you is, The voice of the Lord will captivate our hearts.” John 6:63, “The words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are life.” One word from the Lord will capture our hearts to live again. It makes the crooked places straight, the rough places smooth, the low places high, it will close doors that need to be closed and open doors that need to be open. A word from the Lord heard will storm proof our lives against the tactics of the enemy. We will learn how to walk out of the hour of trial and also learn how to never be recaptured from what we have learned to breakthrough. We get a fresh glimpse of the full weight of what was said. In Matt. 7:29, the roman centurion said to Jesus something that the present-day church needs to learn again, I’m a man under authority. He told Jesus that he understood His authority, by understanding the authority he had worked with. I say to one go and he goes, I say to another come and he comes. He knew that whatever was said it would be carried out. He knew all Jesus had to do was speak to his situation and it would be carried out. This man saw the fullness of what was said and expected what was declared to happen. This is the true vision of authority, God gives us this perspective in our lives today. The world establishes authority thru power, the Kingdom establishes power thru authority. Luke 9:1, Acts 1:8, we will chase more insights and the fruit of hearing the Lord. Be blessed!
