Chasing the word of the Lord for 2021

Dear Partners,

Greetings, I pray that the first month of this first year has been good for you. We have much to be in faith and prayer concerning there is a new president, a democratic majority in the Senate, and the house of legislators. We are as believers called to pray for those in authority. We pray for the position that someone holds, but we need to pray for that person's soul. There’s only one thing that changes the heart of man and that is a new nature that only the Lord provides. The church's focus must be on one thing, the Father’s will. We as Christians know that there will be all kinds of things that will be brought on our nation because of an Antichrist agenda. Judgment on this nation will come because of the will of the people. Because of what society has voted in and the fruit that will follow. The church must remain counter-cultural. Counter-cultural in our government, business’ and our families. We do not have the nature of this world nor its desires. In Ez. 36, the prophet of God said that God would give us a new heart, that He would take out the heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. Commentary on this passage says God’s nature would reach so deep into the heart and soul of man that we wouldn’t desire sin in any way. The god of this world has always had an agenda, to bring as many people as he can. Men carrying this attitude of heart, carry out his actions. The church has always been in the crosshairs of Satan. Please remember that an attack on the church is an attack on God. Satan has never been successful in overthrowing the Lord. The church's agenda must be the work of the ministry and a  strong alliance to Israel. The attack is being planned now, but be assured of this, God will protect his own. The Hebrew numbers for 2021 mean, “To hear the voice of God.” I don’t think that this is coincidental at all. To hear the Lord, there must be a willingness to receive, believe and apply what He tells us. The first thing that the Lord’s voice does is, it captures our heart. Jesus said in, Jn. 6:63, “The words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are life.” One Word from the Lord can change everything. Doors that will not open, open. Doors that will not shut, shut. The rough places are smoothed, the crooked places are made straight, and the low places are made high. This capturing of our hearts provides complete confidence and security, but it requires complete obedience. The voice of the Lord brings us into an incredible understanding of authority. In Matt. 7:29, a Roman centurion comes to Jesus. He has a need in his home that he desires, for Jesus “to just speak” to. He tells Jesus something very interesting, he says, “I’m a man under authority.” Jesus says I have not found this type of faith even in Israel. Jesus realizes that this man understands authority. He says to one go and he goes, and he says to another come and he comes. What this centurion is telling Jesus is, “I see in You what I can’t find in Caesar.” When we are under authority, we can see what someone walks in. If we can see this, then we can receive this perception. In this man’s case, he saw what Jesus could do about his situation that no one else could do. Being under authority is a perspective that will open our lives to see the fullness of what God and God alone has already done for us.
