Chasing the Word of the Lord for 2021 (March Newsletter)

 March 1, 2021

Dear Partners, we have entered unusual times. The beauty of serving the Lord is, life can be uncertain, but the kingdom of God always remains stable. In a year that reveals to us the desire of God to hear Him, we can find great comfort in His council. I have something in my heart that I want to share with you. I was in a meeting a few weeks back, and I had the Lord say to me; “My people know what it is like for Me to walk into a room, but I desire that they would know what it will be like to walk into the room I’m in.” I saw a room full of light and the door to that room was cracked slightly open as if I was being invited into the room if I wanted to come in. King David said; You said seek My face, and my heart said, Lord, Your face will I seek. I know that meeting with Him where He is at, there is a strategy for the days to come. In that same meeting, a position of scripture was shared with me, and I believe it to be the first step to the future. Believers must live from a revelatory position. Is. 48:10, says, “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. The Lord said that He has not refined us like gold, but not like silver. Silver is a harder element than gold. It requires to stay longer in the fire than gold, for the impurities to be removed. I personally believe that we are being purified for a day of affliction. God removing from us anything that could make us compromise or be discouraged. We live in a state of affiliations, living in a fallen world blessed by His redeeming grace. Whether it be self-affiliations, affiliations because of being light in the midst of darkness, or affiliations that the church will place on progressive people who are misunderstood. This will always be, unfortunately, a way of life that can push us into His waiting wisdom. 2 Sam. 24:24 says The church will be built on a threshing floor. A progressive believer realizes that there are many layers of this life that need to be peeled off of our lives so that the life of God in us can be the most influential part of who we are. This refiner's fire is preparing a people ready to be used for His glory.  A people who will put the miracles of God on display and give the Lord all the glory for the manifestation. We live in a day where you can preorder just about anything. You can have jeans shipped right to your door that are faded and tattered. They look like they have character, but you can’t preorder character. Character is developed in the fire. When someone who cures pottery places a vessel in the fire, they know when it’s ready to come out, they reach in and tap on the vessel and if it releases a sound called singing, they know the vessel is ready for the moment. We are being developed in this fire for character needed beyond the moment we are in. One of my spiritual daughters, Stacy Gray said when I shared this with her, “It sounds like the core of who we are is being revealed.” I thought what she said was profound. She’s right, where we are and who we are in the moment is going through a transformation for greater use in the future. The same Jesus who met the three Hebrew children in the furnace is waiting on us to join Him there. Mal. 3:2-3 says, But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderer's soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.
